Description

There seems to be a bug with the checkboxes on the Batch Publish page. When a user first checks a checkbox next to a topic it disappears. Upon on clicking it a second time it will remain. But when the user clicks Batch Publish the citation remains in the list and does not get published.

Seen on PROD and DEV. See screenshot of what appears in the console when this happens.

Easy to repro. Just go to the Batch Publish page and click on one of the checkboxes for the first citation in the list. Then click it again and then click Batch Publish. And after you should see the same citation first in the list.

Lack of publication can be confirmed by using the PMID to pull up the Full Article History page.

Checks are no longer disappearing and checked citations are now getting published. However, I do see that the 1st and 2nd citations move on the page when their check boxes are checked but the 3rd and rest of the citations on the page do not move when checked. But they are all still getting published.

I believe what you're seeing is the content shifting down temporarily to make room for the "Please wait ..." displayed by the AJAX call. If you're scrolled far enough down the page that you wouldn't see the "Please wait ..." I guess it doesn't bother displaying it on the grounds that it would be annoying to have the content move without any visible reason for the movement. If you're seeing the movement for the first articles but not the "Please wait ..." display then I don't have an explanation. 😛

That must be it, and yes users have to scroll past all that to see the citations so it is not on screen at the time of the call.
