We've noticed that images don't show up in Summary PP until they have been published to Cancer.gov. The images only display a placeholder in the summary document until the image document has been hot-fixed.
Here is an example on QA:
Media doc - CDR0000752132
Summary doc - CDR0000062923
The MedialLink for this example is the first in one in this summary.
It appears that the URL for images is pointing to the URL on the Drupal server
https://www-qa.cancer.gov/images/cdr/live/CDR752132-750.jpg
instead of the image on the CDR server
https://cdr-qa.cancer.gov/cgi-bin/cdr/GetCdrImage.py?pp=Y&id=CDR0000752132-400.jpg
The replacement happens in postprocess() (line 109).
I suspected something like that.
Two questions:
would it mess up your testing if I address this as part of Kepler, instead of waiting for Leibniz?
can you confirm that what you want is for all the image links from a publish preview rendering of the summary to https://whatever.cancer.gov/images/cdr/live/CDRwhatever.jpg instead to go to the CDR server to fetch (and possibly scale) the image from the latest publishable version?
1. Would anything change for us to re-test what have been Kepler tested already or this would just be in addition to what we are testing? If it is the latter then, that should not be a problem.
2. Yes, we would want to see the publishable version of the image in the Pub preview.
The only thing changed is where the image links point, so I think the answer to the first question that nothing else should be affected.
This enhancement provides an effective workaround to sidestep the GateKeeper image failures reported in OCECDR-4704.
Verified on QA2. Thanks!
