The maximum time for a publishing job before we cancel that job is 8
hours on PROD, 12 hours on DEV and 10 hours everywhere else.
With the roll-out of Gauss actual publishing times are under 1
hour.
I'm proposing to adjust the max time values to 3 hours before cancelling the job.
These values are currently set in the program SubmitPubJob.py but we may want to move the values to the ctl table which can be updated without the help of CBIIT.
I adjusted the max processing time in the program
SubmitPubJob.py
The job will now be cancelled if it doesn't finish within 3 hours on PROD or DEV. The general completion time is about 30 minutes.
The new code is on QA but we will only see the effect of the change if a publishing job on QA is failing unexpectedly.
I'm going to mark this ticket as verified.
These changes are now on PROD.
Closing ticket.
