Sometimes, glossary term names are revised or completely replaced
with new ones. However, if you look at the URL on Cancer.gov, it retains
the old term name in the URL instead of the new term name. Can this be
changed so that the URL reflects the new/revised term name?
Here are some examples (please see attached).

The CDR does not provide or create the URL for a glossary term. I'm assuming the URL gets created when the document gets added to the system and further updates are handled by CDR-ID without revising the URL.
The URL gets created by the Gatekeeper code or by Percussion. I will add ~duganal and ~learnb to this ticket to discuss any necessary changes to address this issue.
That's neither GateKeeper nor Percussion. Those URLs are handled by the content delivery engine.
I believe the list of URLs is driven by a configuration file which is deployed via Percussion (I suspect it's TermDictionaryCDRFriendlyNameMap.txt in the Configuration\dictionaries folder). Ultimately, this would need to be handled through a process change where updates to term names would result in an update to the data file.
It sounds like it may be possible to manually update the *.txt file in order to correct those wrong URLs until an automated process is in place. Of course, this would only be possible if the *.txt file isn't recreated in its entirely every time.
I believe it's a manually curated file. In which case, this becomes akin to a content update ticket.
~oseipokuw, do you have a list of the URLs you'd like to see updated?
I do not have a list. Going forward, I can let you know when we make a change or when we see a previous one.
~oseipokuw: If Blair's right, that this is a content update ticket, shouldn't it be in the JIRA project used for such requests?
