Victoria and Robin B are also experiencing problems connecting to the CiteMS. They are off-site today, so it doesn't appear to just be a local issue. Thanks for looking into it, Alan.

It looks like the hardware is okay but the "virtual server" that it's running on is down. I've reported it to the operations group and Carbie Mendoza is looking into it.
I don't know yet if it's a serious problem. Hopefully not.
If and when Carbie gets it fixed I've asked him to send an email directly to Bonnie since some of us may be in the CDR meeting when it happens.

I just spoke to Carbie.
It turns out that the problem was caused by a hardware failure. The cache memory system failed on the computer hosting the old CiteMS. Carbie disabled the cache (which should make the system a bit slower, though it may or may not be noticeable) and put in a request for a permanent fix.
I'm marking this as resolved-fixed.
