To begin the larger project of adding audio pronunciations to the glossary term name (GTN) documents, we discussed developing a spreadsheet of all current glossary term names with their phonetic pronunciations (when available) and a place to store information about the audio recordings for each term.

From left to right, the desired columns are:

CDR ID (This is the CDR ID of the GTN document)
Term Name String (EN)
Pronunciation (This is the phonetic pronunciation from the TermPronunciation element in the GTN document, when it is populated; otherwise, this will be blank)
Term Name String (ES)
Recording File Name (This is the file name for the audio file)
Recording Language
Recording Creator (This may be deemed unnecessary if the same person records all of the files, but we can delete this column later if it's not useful)

The last 3 columns will be blank for the time being.

There are some term name documents that have multiple translated (ES) term names. I'm not sure how best to handle these..maybe they could be listed in a subsequent row with the CDR ID repeated in that row?

I think we should drive the structure of the sheet by the assumption that there will be one row per audio file. So the columns would be:

CDR ID
Term Name
Language
Pronunciation
Filename
Creator

Would that work for you?

Correct! It's planned to be available for Bugzilla 4.2.

We're sort of hijacking this issue, but the Bugzilla [Help] link appears to be busted, too.

Real users don't use documentation! Ok, Ok, if you insists. Go ahead and try it now.

Thanks!

And now back to our regularly-scheduled Bugzilla issue. Since this isn't the issue for actually loading the sound clips into the CDR, I would guess that if the attached spreadsheet is satisfactory you can probably close the issue, right?
