We would like to add the ability to record information in the CDR about who has blocked a document and when the document was blocked in the system.
In the future, we would like to create a report to view this information (potentially searchable by entry of a date range, selection of a document type, and/or selection of a particular user). The report will need more discussion (and a separate issue), but for now we would like to build the capability to store this information in the system.
Bob, please revise the component for this issue if appropriate! Thanks.

Implemented on Mahler. Ready for user testing (you'll just be able to verify that nothing is broken when you block/unblock documents; after you're done testing I'll post the audit information for the block/unblock actions for your review).

OK, I blocked a couple documents on MAHLER and all appeared to be fine. I don't know if I have the ability to unblock documents, so I did not try that.

You can on Mahler:
CDR Admin => Developers/System Administrators => Unblock Documents

Done! Unblocking worked fine, too. Thanks.

See "Block/Unblock Actions" in ad-hoc report interface on Mahler.

Looks good! I think we'll want a standing report (rather than ad hoc) at some point, but this is great for now.
Maybe we can talk about what that report might look like in today's meeting.

Right. I just threw that query up (as I promised I would in comment #1) so you could verify that the software is now doing what the issue says it should. The query output was too wide to fit comfortably in the Bugzilla comment display.

I have installed the new actions, the new table, and the ad-hoc report on Bach, but the server modification can't be installed on Bach without carrying over changes for task #4890, which haven't been approved for promotion yet, so I'll let this piggyback on the promotion Alan does for that task.
