TIR #2184 entered 2012-12-14 by Robin Juthe
This is a pesky inconsistency but please add a registered trademark symbol (superscript) after PDQ throughout the system.
Juthe, Robin (NIH/NCI) [E]No presence information (4/18/2013 7:58
PM): The symbol has been added and appears on the live site but it has
not been superscripted. Is that feasible? Low priority. Setting this
back to "New" and assigning it to Alan. Thanks.
Kline, Bob (NIH/NCI) [C]No presence information (4/17/2013 4:23 PM):
Robin: This was left in the "waiting for build state" and assigned to
Sridhar, but the last comment was from you, Robin, so I'm a little
confused. Can you verify whether this is fixed, and if not, bump it back
to Alan with a state of "New"? Thanks!
Juthe, Robin (NIH/NCI) [E]No presence information (2/26/2013 3:09 PM): I
see that this has been added - thank you! - but is it possible to
superscript the symbol?
Meyer, Alan (NIH/NCI) [C]No presence information (1/7/2013 8:30 PM): I
wasn't sure where we needed the copyright symbol, but I put it on the
first occurrence of PDQ in the response sheet.
I'll post a copy of the response sheet in Bugzilla as well as
here.
Kline, Bob (NIH/NCI) [C]No presence information (12/31/2012 1:36 PM): I
have taken care of this everywhere except the EbmsPrint.inc file. For
that I'm turning the issue over to Alan, as I'm not sure how the PDF
generator he's using handles non-ASCII characters.
Juthe, Robin (NIH/NCI) [E]No presence information (12/14/2012 2:34 PM):

Promoted to QA.
The trademark symbol is not in superscript on the travel pages where it is used (Local Travel, Long Distance Travel, Hotel Request pages). In Firefox, I can copy and paste the superscripted symbol from Word and it looks correct, but once the page is saved, the superscript is lost. (The symbol is missing from the Directions page but this is my error because it's not in my original Word doc.)
Updated list of preserved markup on DEV and QA to allow and .
This adds more manual steps to the CBIIT instructions for the rollout on PROD:
https://ebms.nci.nih.gov/admin/config/content/formats/filtered_html
Expand "Limit allowed HTML tags" at the bottom of the page.
Add and to the whitespace-delimited list.
Save the changes.
https://ebms.nci.nih.gov/admin/config/content/wysiwyg/profile/filtered_html/edit
Expand "BUTTONS AND PLUGINS" section.
Check "Superscript" and "Subscript" buttons.
Save the changes.
Verified on QA using Firefox.
