I am not able to view any previously posted literature surveillance packets. I get the attached error message.
This problem is caused by an attempt to sort part of the results in a database query. The ticket will go into the backlog until we have another EBMS release. After discussion with Victoria, it was decided that the solution will be to only have support for sorting articles by journal title on the new packet page, not on the view/edit page for an existing packet. The workarounds available in the meantime are:
leave the option at sorting the articles by author; or
avoid using the view/edit packet page for existing packets (use reports to see what's in an existing packet); or
switch the option back and forth (in case an existing packet has to be edited).
Another side effect of saving the journal sort as the default is losing the profile picture.
We think the solution to this problem is to remove the option to save the journal sort option as a default on the create new packet page. We should still be able to sort by journal or author (this should be the default, as it is now), but we won't be able to save the journal sort as the default, since that has caused problems. There is not currently an option to sort by journal on the view/edit packets page, nor do we need one.
Software modified to remove the persistence for the article sort option on the create packet page.
Verified on QA SG.
Verified on PROD.
