Initial email from Volker:
Hot off the Press!
We are getting a new SFTP server and I have been contacted to test the new server (ncias-p3389-v). I am certain it’s going to be a smooth transition.
Just kidding! Currently, I’m only able to connect if I’m on the VPN. Stay tuned!
Thanks,
Volker
I ran a publishing job 2 weeks ago to test that we're able to connect and copy the PDQ XML data to the new server. That test ran successfully.
One issue we're currently working on is the "log" directory. Currently, the logs from the legacy server have been copied. We're not seeing any log information from the new server. The legacy server has been setup to extract a subset of the log information for the server and direct it to a file in our log directory with the file name "pdq.log". This file on the new server is just a static copy from Dec. 30th.
Things don't look so promising on the non-publishing uses of the new
server. While trying to run tests on the glossary audio processing cycle
on CDR DEV I ran into failures right out of the gate, because the
directories needed for that software are borked.
The failures getting to the audio directories have been resolved.
There are still a few of the PDQ partners who haven't yet used the new sFTP server but many did so successfully. It proves that the server is working as expected.
I believe this ticket can be closed now.
