Description

Message from Sarina Padilla:
We are planning to relocate clinical trials search and the dynamic listing pages. The new URLs will be:

  • CTS: /research/participate/clinical-trials-search

  • Disease DLP: /research/participate/clinical-trials/disease/*

  • Intervention DLP: /research/participate/clinical-trials/intervention/*

The old URLs are:

  • CTS: /about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/*

  • Disease DLP: /about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/disease/*

  • Intervention DLP: /about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/intervention/*

A quick scan lists the following documents with the "clinical-trials" string:

  • publishing/pdqdocs/PDQ-summary.html

  • publishing/pdqdocs/PDQ-summary.xml

  • publishing/pdqdocs/PDQ_Acknowledgement.html

  • scheduler/jobs/trial_info.py

  • server/Filters/CDR0000000134.xml

  • server/Filters/CDR0000505580.xml

The first two files are part of our documentation for new PDQ partners.

The 3rd document is documentation, too, that needs to be past on to partners knowing that partners won't read this piece of documentation once they finished implementing their application.

The 4th file lists the string in a header only.  Nothing to do here except for changing the comment.

The two filters are creating the link to the CT search page for the term and DIS documents.

In addition to the changes above there are also some Misc. Documents ("Clinical Trial Search Link Text") for which the text and/or the URL may need to be adjusted.

, in treatment patient and HP summaries, the treatment section displays a paragraph:

Use our clinical trial search to find NCI-supported cancer clinical trials that are accepting patients. You

The link goes to https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search. This text comes from the 4 misc. docs named "Clinical Trial Search Link Text" for English/Spanish HP/patient and will need to be modified in the document to

https://www.cancer.gov/research/participate/clinical-trials-search

That paragraph also contains the following link for the text "General information"

https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/

which will need to be changed to

https://www.cancer.gov/research/participate/clinical-trials.

The link for the HP versions to the "advanced clinical trial search" will need to be changed from

https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/advanced

to

https://www.cancer.gov/research/participate/clinical-trials-search/advanced

The filter changes to adjust the URL to the clinical trials search page have been tested and the resulting output diffed on QA.  There were no unexpected differences.

The filters have been copied to STAGE and PROD.

I had thought we needed to make an additional change to a script in the scheduler but that turns out to be incorrect.  No more changes are needed. Both, the filter changes and the documentation for the PDQ partners have been updated.
