Description

There seems to be a problem when blocking CDR documents in XMetal 17. When I tried to block these two documents, CDR0000807267 and CDR0000256643, the documents appears to store correctly but the CDR ID does not change to red font and they do not say "Blocked" as expected. This happened at about 11:05am thereabout.

Repro steps:

  1. Check Out of the above documents

  2. Click on the CDR Save button

  3. Select "Block publication of any version of this document"

  4. Select "Validate"

  5. Select "Create Version"

  6. Optionally Select "Check in"

  7. Click "OK"

 Check the document out to see if the red fonts appear or "[Blocked]" is displayed after the CDR ID.

I am re-opening this ticket because I performed a replacement action on DEV earlier this afternoon. While the old document was blocked as expected, XMetal does not display the "BLOCKED..." (in red font). This is probably a new issue other than the one originally reported for this ticket so, let me know if you want to me create a new ticket. The blocked document is CDR0000807271

Yes, it is. This is how it shows for me.

I think it is because it is showing up multiple times on the file menu and depending on I pick from there, it shows or does not show the red font. The correct procedure is to retrieve the document again so, this is probably not an issue.

Right. Loading a document from the file menu is pulling it from the file system, using a copy of the document you had retrieved earlier. So no, it won't reflect subsequent processing of the document.
