We ran into an edge case the other day when upgrading SQL Server for the STAGE tier. After plugging in the new database server name we tried running the job to bounce the CDR Scheduler service so that it would no longer use the cached database connection values. The request for the manual job is stored in the new database in this case, but the scheduler is still looking for jobs in the old database. We need a parameter for this job which lets us specify that the request should be stored in the old database, where the running scheduler will see it.
Parameter dbserver
added, installed on CDR DEV, and
tested (as well as I can with only one database server).
I confirmed that the parameter dbserver
is now a valid
parameter for this scheduled job. Not sure there is anything else that
can be done at this point.
