Email from Nanci regarding the PDQ Partner contact phone number:
Hi Robin,
I was wondering if someone can remove the PDQ Content Dissemination Phone Number (240-276-6640) from the https://www.cancer.gov/syndication page (and any other place it may be referenced). There is nobody at the office to answer the phone. It does not get many calls. The majority of the calls are wrong numbers. And I think someone gave the number as a contact number for deliveries because there are calls from the SG Guards desk (loading dock) in the call log.
Thanks,
Nanci Gottlieb
The phone number is included in several email notification templates, i.e. Weekly partner notification message, and should be removed or replaced from those as well.
We forgot to talk about this yesterday, ~juther.
You were out last week and the question came up if the phone number included on the web for (potential) PDQ Partners had been replaced or removed. Some of our email notifications are including this phone number as well. It appears that the phone number on the web had been removed and I wanted confirmation from you that we want to update the email templates accordingly rather than specifying an alternative phone number to be included.
By the way, 98% of the communication does come via email anyway as you probably realize from Nanci's original request.
The phone number has been removed from the template used to notify the PDQ partners.
I will close this ticket after our next notification email went out.
I confirmed that the phone number isn't displayed anymore as part of our email notification message to the PDQ partners.
Closing ticket.
