One of our PDQ partners contacted us because he can't login to the SFTP server anymore. This partner, I thought, was inactive because we can't find any PDQ data on the website and it appears he hasn't downloaded our data in over two years. From the log files it appears the user account (ubonngq) connects successfully and logs off successfully but there aren't any downloads initiated. Gustav Quade, however, confirms he's downloading our PDQ summaries.
We need to investigate why his download attempts aren't logged.
I contacted Dr. Quade again and he confirmed that he is continuously downloading our PDQ data. I also confirmed on his website that the summary data we updated a week ago has been updated at his end. I checked the log files again and it appears that his account ubonngq is the only account displaying this problem.
I created a Service Help ticket to have the admins for the FTP server look into this mystery.
It appears that CBIIT identified a missing group assignment for the account for Gustav Quade. They are now adjusting the group settings for the account.
In the meantime, I will look through the log files to see if other accounts might be affected.
After checking the SFTP logs since Jan 2020, I found one additional account that may show the same problems as the account for Gustav Quade. It is the account for the PDQ China project (wehealth).
I will notify CBIIT to update the account accordingly.
I changed the title of the ticket because the "Login issues" where resolved and it was an issue with the partner's own firewall settings.
The group ownership for the two accounts have been updated. Waiting for Gustav Quade to perform his weekly download early next week.
