Idea from Christina:
For the Drug Type report, I wonder if it is possible at some point to either color code or bold the drugs with more than one type. It’s hard to get a sense of which drugs those are in a long list.
As with all of the reports, the modifications to support rich text — particularly in the case of reports which are available as HTML reports and Excel workbooks — require quite a bit of custom coding, often dwarfing the LOE for the original report. Adding ~duganal as a watcher so she can weigh in on the request. In this particular case I wonder if the business need might be met if we used cell spanning, as illustrated in the attached example.
I think I'm going to take back most of what I just wrote. This isn't a case of rich text, because what you're asking for is bolding of complete cells. Rich text is needed when portions of a cell need different font settings than the rest. Sorry for the false alarm. 😛
Needs further discussion for exactly how we want to implement this.
Two approaches were demonstrated in yesterday's status meeting. Please review and decide which you would prefer.
Christina and Mary prefer the first report (without the 2) where the duplicate drug types are in separate rows and they are bold.
Marking the ticket "Resolved" and removing DISByDrugType2.py.
