Several links to clinical trials from the drug dictionary are broken on Cancer.gov. Some of the links work but many of them are broken as well. Examples: if you click on the "Active Clinical Trials" links within these drug terms terms, they lead you to a Page Note Found.

This may also be affecting links from drug information summaries to some of these terms. I will provide examples when I find them but in pub preview for CDR802259 (brexucabtagene autoleucel) is yet to be published to cancer.gov, the link to drug term in pub preview also goes to a page not found.

My first question would be if you are expecting trials to be shown for these drugs? I'm wondering if there aren't any active trials and the "Page not found" page is displayed instead of the "No Trials" page.
Amy will follow up to confirm the handling for terms which have no trials.
Hi ~mbeckwit ~duganal
Below are two examples from drug information summaries to "page not found" errors when they should be retrieving trials or going to the "No clinical trials matched your search." page.
1. Brexucabtagene Autoleucel (DIS = 802145; drug term = 802259)
DIS link:
Search results in 2 trials: https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/drugs/brexucabtageneautoleucel
Manual clinical search result
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/r?loc=0&q=Brexucabtagene%20Autoleucel&rl=1
2. Recombinant Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Bivalent Vaccine (DIS= 658573; drug term= 442270)
DIS link:
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/drugs/recombinant-hpv-bivalent-vaccine
Manual search in no trials but goes to right
page.
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/r?loc=0&q=Recombinant%20Human%20Papillomavirus%20Bivalent%20Vaccine&rl=1
From what we can tell, these issues are caused by either the trials not being coded with the drug/intervention code or the drug/intervention name having been updated on the EVS side? The keyword search for Brexucabtagene Autoleucel does indeed result in two trials, but Brexucabtagene Autoleucel isn't in the drug/intervention menu, so I'm pretty sure that means it isn't coded on those trials (which is likely an error in the coding).
I still don't understand the reason why a page without trials is
displaying the "Page not found" page
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/intervention/notrials
rather than the Clinical Trials Search Result page with zero
trials
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/r?loc=0&q=Recombinant%20Human%20Papillomavirus%20Bivalent%20Vaccine&rl=1
Hi ~volker - we are looking into this as a wider issue (it has been noted in github https://github.com/NCIOCPL/cgov-digital-platform/issues/2933). We can update this ticket when a fix is released.
~duganal will follow up with the Clinical Trials Listing Pages product team to find out the status of both problems (404 errors displayed when there are trials present; and customized 404 errors when there are no trials).
The issue with the 404 error pages is a known issue in Percussion, which will be resolved as part of our new DLPs (which will show the customized DLP page not found when a code is incorrect, or show the no results found for a correct code) which will launch sometime in May, so we will not be fixing that in the legacy Percussion system.
In addition to the customized DLP page not found 404, the issue with missing mappings that cause the page not found even when their are trials coded for that treatment/drug will be resolved with the new loader, which will go live with the DLP release, currently projected for May 2021.
This issue appears to be resolved. At least for the examples above, I am no longer getting the page not found error. I am getting the customized page for cases where no clinical trials are found for a drug.
It's correct that this issue has been resolved. The Github ticket has been closed and I will close this ticket as well.
