We would like to have the option of searching with the Spanish terms when linking a glossary term in a summary. Currently, the CDR doesn´t allow it, we get an error that reads: "No document matches this query". This search option should also allow for use of accents and other special characters used in Spanish such as “ñ”.
After investing this further, it appears the problem is not that we cannot search with the Spanish terms with diacritics but rather users have to add wildcards in order to retrieve the desired terms. If there is a way to improve the search so that users don't have to enter wildcards, that would be helpful. If not, then I guess we will continue to use wildcards for search searches.
Wrapping your search string with wildcards by force will have two drawbacks:
users will lose control/flexibility
searches will take longer
I think that would be too much give up for this modification.
In that case, I'll mark the ticket as resolved.
