The July 2016 Gov Delivery report included a module-only summary on the list of Revised Summaries. We should discuss revising the display of module-only summaries on the report since we aren't able to link to them directly.
Would the change to the report be to remove the link to the "Summary" or not to include a summary module on the report?
I don't know if it's worth keeping module-only summaries on the report for other purposes. We'll need to discuss this with Margaret.
As discussed at yesterday's status meeting I took a look at the reason why the summary module (CDR779395, Genomics of Central Nervous System Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumors) was listed on the GovDelivery report for revised summaries.
The report looks at documents that were revised and published to Cancer.gov. This condition is typically enough to exclude module documents because modules don't get published. However, this summary module had been published on March 16, 2016 by accident. If we want to exclude this module from future reports we can do several things:
modify the GovDelivery report to specifically exclude modules or
remove the document from the pub_proc_cg table since
it's not supposed to be there to begin with.
We can discuss the best approach (maybe both?) at our next status
meeting.
Other summary modules are not affected and will not be included in this report.
Volker will look into trying a hotfix-remove to remove this module from Gatekeeper and see if this resolves the problem.
The suggested approach - running a Hotfix-Remove publishing job on
this document - does work and will remove the offending row from the
pub_proc_cg table.
However, before the remove job can be run the summary module needs to be
modified so that it will get picked up for publishing
since we've fixed our processes not to include
module-only documents in our publishing jobs.
~oseipokuw and I can work together to
Remove the attribute ModuleOnly=Yes from the summary
Run a Hotfix-Remove job
Restore the attribute ModuleOnly=Yes for the summary
After these changes this summary module won't show up on any of the Summary non-module reports anymore.
No software changes are necessary. ~oseipokuw and I will have to perform the above steps to remove the module-only document from the publishing table on QA.
~oseipokuw, let me know when you want to run thru these steps on QA.
If it is not too late for you, we can do it now.
You can go ahead and prepare the document. I'm leaving now and will run the hot-fix tomorrow.
Okay.
Document CDR779395 is ready on QA for hot-fix remove. Please let me know when to proceed.
The remove request finished, the record for the document has been
removed from the pub_proc_cg table.
Please go ahead and restore the module.
Module Only attribute has been restored.
Is it okay to mark this QA Verified?
Yes, restoring the document was all that was left to do on this ticket. Please go ahead and change the status.
