CDR Tickets

We need to start thinking of places the change would affect, such as:

• mailers

• the organization document for the board

• the EBMS tables

• reports with hard-coded board names (we hope there aren't any, but check)

• XSL/T filters with hard-coded board names

• static HTML on the web site

  • cancer.gov

  • the board rosters

~JutheR: Could you create separate tickets for each of the areas where work is needed and we don't already have a ticket (as we do, for example, for EBMS), morphing this ticket to cover one of those specific areas?

I changed the org name and things look pretty good so far. I have checked all of the summary reports listed on the Board Manager page.

It looks like we'll need to change the Summary Type. The Summaries Markup Report, Summaries TOC Lists, and Summ. with Protocols Links/Refs Reports seem to use the Summary Type.

I have not checked all of the correspondence mailers yet.

I'm having trouble getting any mailers to run for the CAM/IACT Board. I can select the Board members by Board but then no letters appear. Could this be related to the org name? I've tried the Invitation, Welcome, and Renewal letters so far. I should mention this is on DEV - still testing the name updates.

Mailers was one of the things I mentioned would be affected back in August (see comment above). What's the new name (don't see it in this ticket)?

Give it another try. I'm making some assumptions here (for example, that you're keeping the old miscellaneous document title for the invitation letter opening paragraph), so we might not get it right on the first try.

I just tried the Ed Board Invitation letter for several Board members (jobs 13443 and 13444) and no letters came up. I did not change any of the misc. docs.

Ah, you didn't specify the front of the names, so I had guessed that they started off "PDQ Cancer ..." like the previous names did, but I see from the error logs that "Cancer" doesn't appear anywhere in the names any more. Please try again.

I've tested the Invitation mailer so far, and that worked fine. Will work with Robin B. to test the remaining mailers.

I've tested all of the EB mailers (Robin B. is testing the AB mailers). So far, the only ones that need additional updating are those that have the conflict of interest form. I will attach a revised COI form to be used for the following mailers:

• Ed Board Invitation

• Ed Board Renewal

• Ed Board EIC Renewal

Note to self: There are some text changes in the misc doc that we need to make by hand in the "Ed Bd Invite Letter - CAM" document (CDR424402).

Changes to reports will be handled in a separate issue - see OCECDR-4041.

Robin B. tested the AB mailers on DEV and all are fine from a programmatic standpoint.

One mailer, the AB Invitation mailer (CDR424407) will require manual updates in the misc doc.

Is the change to the "topics related to ..." clause in the first paragraph the only modification for the COE form? Having a list of the specific changes will help decrease the likelihood that I'll miss something when I modify the document, which I'll be changing by hand (it's an RTF version of the Word document).

Ah, sorry. I didn't realize you had to make the changes by hand. There are two changes:

1) in the first paragraph, please change "complementary and alternative medicine" to "integrative, alternative, and complementary therapies"

2) In the second paragraph, please remove " and their corresponding Editorial Advisory Boards". (We no longer require AB members to sign this form.

The three Ed Board mailers look good on DEV. However, since we're updating the COI form, would it be possible to change the two spaces after each period to a single space? Sorry to be so picky...

Bob, as we discussed in the status meeting, I'm wondering whether we can change the Misc Doc title for the following CAM Misc Doc:

Ed Bd Invite Letter - CAM

Would a change from "CAM" to "IACT" in this title break the correspondence mailer? Thanks.

No, if you decide to change the title, add the change request to modify the mailer software to this ticket.

We would like to change the "Ed Bd Invite Letter - CAM" miscellaneous doc to "Ed Bd Invite Letter - IACT".
