In the PDQBoardInformation block of the org schema we need to be able to designate that a Board Meeting has been cancelled and have a list of values as to why. How would the best way be to do that? Should we add an element in the BoardMeeting block (called Cancelled?) or is there a way to do it with an attribute? The list of values would be along the lines of Weather, Government closed, Low attendance, No Editor-in-Chief.

You can do this with an attribute. If you do, you may want to have the values conform to the construction of NMTOKEN so that they'll be selectable from a picklist (so, for example, Weather, Government_closed, Low_attendance, No_Editor-in-Chief).

Okay, let's go with an attribute on BoardMeeting called ReasonCancelled. It will have the values as you listed them: Weather, Government_closed, Low_attendance,No_Editor-in-Chief.
I will double-check with the Board Managers to see if there are any other values they want, but I think we can go ahead. We will also want this to show in the CSS, and in the Board Meeting Dates report, so I will put in issues for those.

Board Managers also wanted to add the value Other to the list of values.

Shall we go with the American spelling ("canceled") instead of the British ("cancelled")?

This has been installed on Mahler (as part of the work for task #4760) with the American spelling.

I don't see this in the Organization schema on mahler. Should I be looking somewhere else?

Sorry; please give it another try.

This looks good in the schema and I was able to add it to a meeting date so it can be promoted. I will put in another issue to have the meeting canceled attribute show in the meeting date report and also in the CSS in the XMetal document. Note: We may want to promote this along with the new media link element that we added. William still needs to change the linking table to allow a media link from an org record.

Promoted to Bach and Franck; please check (and close if OK).

Schema looks okay. I am waiting for CIAT to add the Cancel attribute to a Board Meeting date on Bach before I close the issue.
