~vshields and ~juther We may have had this
conversation already, but if we did, I can't find any trace of it. In
the Drupal 7 system the Recent Activity report relied on the
custom tables for summary page documents to determine what to show for
the Document portion of the Recent Activity report,
instead of recording the board for whose summary page a document was
posted in the Drupal message
object used to track events
which need to be reflected on the home page. As a result,
the Document section of the Recent Activity report in
the Drupal 9 system is unable to find document postings which were made
for a given board before the switch to the Drupal 9 version of the site.
I can see that documents posted after the switch to Everglades are
correctly reported (though I'm a little concerned that it's finding
nothing for the Genetics board—perhaps they just haven't posted any
documents in the past couple of months). So I need to know how you would
like to have us address this gap in the report for older document
postings.
Don't worry about it, we can just use the reports for activity after the switch.
Create ad-hoc reports for the older document activity as needed.
Investigate modifying the message
entities for
document postings to see if we can add the correct board to each
one.
Some other course of action?
We're going to go with option #1. I'll talk to the Board managers at our next monthly EBMS meeting to explain this and also mention that Bob could create an ad-hoc report if needed.
