I have a new board member, Patrick Forde, who is an external user. Can you see if he has an NCI account?
There's a Patrick Forde in the LDAP directory, with distinguished name of cn=FordePm,ou=08,ou=Transition,ou=NCI,o=NIH and email address of patrick.forde@nih.gov. However, the account isn't in the NED, so I don't think he would be eligible for an SSO login account. You should probably get the folks who manage the LDAP directory to verify that the eDir account is active, and to give you the (reset) password for it.
I don't know who manages the LDAP directory. Is this something I should just put in the HelpDesk ticket, or does this involve someone else?
Robin's more familiar with that end of the process than I am. I've attached her to the ticket so she can pass along the necessary contact information.
First, I suggest checking his CV or asking Patrick if he's had a NIH account in the past just in case the account Bob located is for a different Patrick Forde. (We wouldn't want to reset the password for the wrong person.) If it's an old, inactive account for the right Patrick Forde, you can put in an NIH help desk ticket and ask them to activate his old account but tell them that he is now an external user and has a different e-mail address (you'll want to provide the distinguished name Bob referenced above in the help desk ticket). It's most likely old and inactive since it's tied to an NIH e-mail address but he is not in NED. But, if the account Bob found is for a different Patrick Forde, then we'll just need to request a new NCI Network Account like usual. Easy peasy, right? ;-)
So surprise, surprise! It's the same Patrick Forde! He worked at CTEP last year. I've submitted a ticket to have his NCI account reactivated and his NCI password reset. We'll see how easy peasy this turns out to be!
NCI has reactivated his account and given him a password. Bob, can you add him to the EBMS? (Today is Robin's CWS day off, so even though she's probably around, I didn't want to ask her to do this today. My meeting is tomorrow, so Dr. Forde will be here in person and I'd like to verify then that he's able to get in.)
He's in (Adult Treatment board).
Thanks, Bob! I see him.
He has successfully logged into the EBMS.
