TIR #2425 entered 2013-03-04 by Minaxi Trivedi
Fast tracked citation in Full Citation view shows the Tag “Import fast track” for Editorial Board and Medical Librarian’s Review. But under Import Process the Tag shows “Batch”. See PMID 23377183.

Just adding myself as notification contact (and I moved Minaxi's comment
to the description of the event). I observed the same.

The line with "TAG" wasn't supposed to be there. "BATCH" isn't a tag, it's just the label on the line showing when the batch was imported.

Ready for user review on DEV.
I think the issue here is that the tag "import fast track" was not being displayed in the Import Process section. Because the Tag line was empty it made it look like Batch was the tag. Would it be too much trouble to add the Tag line back in the Import Process section for citations that have been tagged upon import? either with fast track or special search request. Basically the same set up as the other two sections.
I spoke to William today and he said that this issue needed
clarification. I will try to better explain what we are
requesting.
Below is the Import Process section from a citation in the production
database. EBMSID 320556. This citation was imported as a fast track by
Bonnie yesterday. Looking at the Import Process section there is
currently nothing displayed to indicate that this citation was tagged
with the tag "Import Fast Track". The line below "TAG(s)" is empty ...
it is not displaying the tag that Bonnie assigned when she imported this
citation.
This line should look like this: "TAG(s) - Import fast track -
2014/01/02 - Bonnie Ferguson"
Everything else in this section should remain the same.
Currently in DEV the "TAG(s)" line has been removed entirely. This needs
to be added back in and revised so that the tag name and date and person
tagging are displayed.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you have questions.

OK, I have changed the title of this request (the original title "Fast Tracked Citations Should Not Receive Batch Tag" was part of the source of the confusion). The reason the tags aren't displayed in the import section of the full citation page is that the article tags are linked to the articles, not to the publishing events. I'm going to consult with Alan to see if he knows something about these tags of which I'm unaware.
Yes but displaying this information in the import process section of a citations full record will not change how the tags are linked. This is just a display issue.
So, are you saying that the software should repeat all of the tag information in the import process section of the full citation page, even though some of the tags won't have anything to do with the import process?
I propose we just leave it as you have it in DEV right now. Minaxi
and I know where to find the tag in other sections of the full record
(it will be extra clicks and not exactly the most intuitive location for
us but maybe we need to change the way we think of import tags) and the
board managers can see tags in their sections.
Otherwise this will not be an easy fix. Not all tags will be relevant to
each section so displaying them all will be confusing. In many cases a
citation will not have a bunch of tags assigned to it so this wouldn't
be a problem. It all just depends on how many tags users are
assigning.
Tags should be linked to summary topic and task/decision. Then they
could only be displayed where relevant. But we have debated and
discussed this and I have lost track of where we are with tags. So in
the meantime, should we just leave this as is?
