This is another issue Victoria noticed while testing XMetal 17 which is different on PROD. I remember that there have been some conversations around this, but I can't remember all the details, so I am reporting it.
"I added a Citation Link and clicked Ctr+Enter to open the dialog box to enter the title to search for it. The citation did not come up. I switched over to the Advanced Search page on Chrome and when I do that in the current CDR, Chrome is on the screen and the CDR and open dialog box no longer show. When I did that in testing, the dialog box stayed on the screen. I was able to move it over so I could paste the PMID and upload the citation, then when I pulled the CDR back up, I could click the Lookup button again and find the newly added citation. So it worked, it was just different."
Repro Steps:
Checkout a CDR Summary Document on the VM
Add a new CitationLink element (Or start the glossifier and click on the Preview button)
Click Ctrl + Enter to bring up the dialog box
Navigate away from the dialog box and click on the Advanced Search icon or the Reports icon
Note that the dialog box always remains in the foreground instead the background (which is the current behavior in XMetal 9).
Yes, when a dialog window is open it is forced to stay on top, in response to reports that it was hard to find when other windows covered it.
