Victoria reported the following issue while testing in XMetal 17 and I was able to reproduce the problem. The behavior is different from PROD.
"When I changed the markup from the default proposed to anything else, the markup didn’t “change” until I clicked somewhere in the summary."
Repro Steps:
Check Out a CDR summary on the VM
Markup a portion of text for deletion or insertion
Change the default value in the RevisionLevel attribute in the Attribute Inspector
Note that the change does not take effect right away
You need to navigate away from the Attribute Inspector for the change to take effect.
Reported to the vendor.
Yes, this is a slightly different behavior from what we're currently using but I'm not sure this should be considered an issue. The display of the CSS is adjusted once the user leaves the attribute field. This could be either by clicking anywhere within the XMetaL window, or by tabbing out of the field entry field. The visual feedback is delayed by one single action but the change of the attribute value still happens at the same time.
I will talk to Bob to discuss if this is something that could easily be adjusted.
I didn't see your reply before I looked at the ticket.
Fixed in the new installer we just received from the vendor. Tested on William's laptop.
Verified on QA. Thanks!
