Summary Fragment refs in pub preview are not working as expected on PROD. (It seems to be working well on DEV). When you click on them, nothing happens. This started happening at the same time (January 25th) that they weren't working on Cancer.gov and we reported it in CGOV-15498. It looks like it happened right after a recent Cancer.gov release. The fix for the problem on cancer.gov was put into production last night and they have started working as expected on Cancer.gov this morning. However, in pub preview, they are not working in any of the browsers. You may use the Prostate Cancer Treatment summary - CDR0000062965 as an example on PROD. The "General Information Section" link in that summary is a summary frag ref. You can also find additional examples in the linked CGOV ticket CGOV-15498
On a perhaps unrelated issue, we discovered that modal links in IE does not work in Pub Prev (IE only) . When you click on them, you get this error message:
The requested resource cannot be found.
I see that the linking issue on Cancer.gov has been corrected but I believe the fix was done in a piece of JavaScript that we don't include in the PublishPreview because the "invalid" links are still created for our version of the display.
Is this still an issue, ~oseipokuw ?
The links are now working for me.
It is still not working for me. Tried Chrome too and still not working.
Sorry, I should have been more specific since you reported two different types of links not working within this ticket.
The links I was referring to were the Summary links, not the Glossary links.
If we do talk about the same thing, could you please let me know how you're running the PP report? From XMetaL or the web interface? It shouldn't matter but I want to make sure we're looking at the same thing.
I updated the filter to fix the fragment links on DEV and QA and
published a few summaries to the ACSF Test server www-test-acsf.cancer.gov.
I’ve updated all 8 English breast cancer summaries (patient, HP): Breast
Cancer Treatment, Male Breast Cancer Treatment, Childhood Breast Cancer
Treatment, and Breast Cancer During Pregnancy.
I didn’t want to update all summaries because this way we’ll be able to
identify links fixed by the JS workaround and those fixed by the
publishing filter on the test site. PublishPreview will now work on DEV
and QA.
The DP team wants to ensure this fix isn't breaking anything, so they want to test, too, before we can push this fix to CDR PROD.
The following filter has been updated:
CDR797103.xml - Cancer Information Summary for Drupal CMS
https://github.com/NCIOCPL/cdr-server/commit/c703a7f
The filter has been updated on PROD and the fragment links are working again for PublishPreview on PROD.
Please verify and close this ticket.
Verified on PROD. Thanks!
