From our meeting with Lindsay, Victoria and Sarina this morning, it was decides to reduce the top-level headings one level down for the partner documents. I am sure the summary and description of this ticket needs some tweaking 🙂.
Comments from Volker (Copied from Teams)
We discussed this morning that the only top-level section content for
our partner documents will be a document's SVPC document title and its
intro text. All other sections should be moved one level down.
This would be the situation for the partner doc.
SVPC 1 Doc Title
This is intro text for SVPC 1
SVPC 1 Section Title
Section Content
SVPC 2 Doc Title
This is intro text for SVPC 2
SVPC 2 Section Title
Section Content
I'm not sure how we're going to handle the situation when there isn't
any intro text. We said we would use the document title in situations
when there isn't a title with the intro text. We would see something
like this for the partner document:
SVPC 1 Doc Title
This is intro text for SVPC 1
SVPC 1 Section Title
Section Content
SVPC 2 Section Title
Section Content
The sections for SVPC 2 would be indented and appear to be part of
SVPC 1. The other option would be to create a top-level section without
text and only a title. In this case we would always display the document
title regardless if there is an intro text or not:
SVPC 1 Doc Title
This is intro text for SVPC 1
SVPC 1 Section Title
Section Content
SVPC 2 Doc Title
SVPC 2 Section Title
Section Content
These changes have been implemented on DEV.
There is still one open question which I have already asked in Teams:
I came across one additional situation that's not mentioned on the "Title Spreadsheet" when handling the partner documents.
We said, if an SVPC document includes an intro text section and the intro text section includes a Title element, this Title will be used in the partner document to overwrite the document title (example: CDR805698).
In the situation when there is no intro text and the SVPC includes multiple sections should the partner document also overwrite the document title and use the section title instead or should the section title be ignored in favor of the document title (example: CDR805699)?
As discussed, the situation mentioned above should not come up. If a summary has multiple sections an intro text section should have been included. This is a business rule but the filter code will allow it.
I've updated the spreadsheet that indicates what title would be displayed based on the possible permutations of sections, section titles and intro text sections/titles.
Verified on DEV. Thanks!
Verified on QA and PROD. Thanks!
