We receive requests to create media image docs for use in documents that are not PDQ Summaries or Glossary Terms and users want to find a better way of tracking such requests in the CDR with a CDR report, for example. We currently have a "Proposed Use" block in the Media doc schema which could be modified by adding an additional optional element "Requested by" with a list of values including, SWRB, Other Cancer.gov Pages, My Part pages etc. (I will provide a more comprehensive list later). Another option is to create a completely new block for tracking such requests.
We decided to add a new multiply occurring, optional element, called "Requested By" to the the "Proposed Use" block with the following list of items for users to select:
