As we begin the initial implementation phase of Single View of Patient Content (SVPC), we want to ensure that content that is pushed from the CDR to Drupal for publishing on Cancer.gov includes all of the current image templates available on Cancer.gov.
To match the downstream templates on the web site, a
display
attribute should be added to the
MediaLink
element, with the following valid values:
full
large
medium-left
medium-center
medium-right
small-left
small-center
small-right
The following number of occurrences are present for the
MediaLink@size
attribute:
Occurrences |
Size Value |
---|---|
7 |
as-is |
1 |
quarter |
1 |
sixth |
139 |
half |
264 |
full |
12 |
third |
644 |
three-quarters |
The following number of occurrences are present for the
MediaLink@placement
attribute:
Occurrences |
Placement Value |
---|---|
229 |
image-center |
16 |
image-center-full |
65 |
image-center-medium |
1 |
image-left-small |
In the HTML exported to the web site, the size
attribute
is ignored, but the placement
attribute's value is used for
the class
attribute of the figure
element for
the image.
For each PDQ image, we currently send recompressed JPEGs using quality setting 80 to Akamai :
the image at original scale
the image proportionally scaled down to a width of 750 pixels (assuming the original is at least that wide)
the image proportionally scaled down to a width of 571 pixels (assuming the original is at least that wide)
Examples:
https://nci-media.cancer.gov/pdq/media/images/751388-750.jpg
https://nci-media.cancer.gov/pdq/media/images/751388-571.jpg
Assuming we want to stick to the same number of copies per image, we might want to replace 750 with 970 and 571 with 626 (the browser can always scale down gracefully, but we don't want it scaling up what we give it, and 970 is the largest width in Sarina's table).
