I'm receiving an error message when selecting either option to exclude current Board members from this report.
The message reads:
name 'control' is not defined
Fixed on DEV2 and QA2. Please test again.
That was quick! The report is working now, but there's a problem with what is coming up in the results. If I select the Genetics Editorial Board and check off "exclude current Advisory Board members", I get a blank table. Same is true if I select an Advisory Board and check "exclude current Editorial Board members". It's important for us to be able to run these in conjunction with each other so that we don't re-invite someone if they're already serving on the other (Ed/Adv) Board.
I think there's a possibility I've actually got it working correctly now. 😉 Could you take it out for another spin and tell me if this is just wishful thinking on my part, please?
It's better but there's still a bit of a problem with the 'exclude current Advisory Board members' check box. If I select the Genetics Editorial Board and check off 'exclude current AB members' (with or without the 'exclude current EB members' check box), I'm still seeing current AB members in the results. (Examples: Mark Robson, Kathleen Cooney, Marianne Berwick).
The report seems to work OK if I run it for the Genetics Advisory Board and check off 'exclude current AB members' (with or without the 'exclude current EB members' option selected).
The latest changes, following up on our phone discussion, have been installed on DEV2 and QA2. Please take the report out for a spin.
Just to recap our discussion: We decided to have this report be more inclusive and display all rows for a given Board member (for separate Boards) so that we can easily see which other Boards they are on or have been invited to join. I'm not certain this is the best approach because it still seems like we're getting more results than we really need, but I believe it's working as we discussed. This may be something that we revisit in Leibniz or a future release. In the meantime, it is helpful (as you suggested, Bob) to select to display Current Member when running the report.
So I'm considering this Verified on QA2.
Verified on PROD. As mentioned above, this may need revisiting in a future release.
