When submitting a publishing job (i.e. a Hotfix-Export job), the Yes/No drop down boxes display the options "Yes" and "o" (instead of "No")
When selecting 'No' for the 'Report only' option I'm getting an error message:
invalid 'ReportOnly' value 'N'
See my note on OCECDR-4726.
Fixed on DEV2 and QA2.
Yes, the Yes/No issue is fixed but we now have hover help-text
displayed almost all the time. Having the tooltip show up while trying
to select from the drop down list is distracting. See attachment.
Can we display the tooltip only when the user hovers over the field
label or delay the appearance of the hover text to a second or two?
Ah, I thought that using the jQuery UI tooltips would result in a better interface than you get from the browser's native tooltip UI, as that often obscures the current field, which this interface doesn't do. However, if you prefer, I can look into delaying the tooltip display and/or making it disappear sooner.
I have an even better idea. The problem is always: How can you give the user who needs it help she can find without annoying the user who doesn't need that help?
Maybe if we add a question mark icon to the right of the field and display the help when you hover over it?
OK, let's see what I can do.
All right, it's done. Not sure I like it as well, but you're the one who's using this tool most of the time, so it's your call. 😉
Oh, that is much better. The continued opening and closing of the tooltips when moving across the fields would give me the hibbie jibbies.
Is this ready for QA Verified, ~volker?
