The Spanish team would like to like to have a spell checker added to XMetal if that is possible.
When in XMetaL follow these steps to turn on the Spanish dictionary:
Click Tools --> Select Spell Checker...
Click Options --> Select Language...
Select your favorite language
At the bottom check the box for Save as default Writing Tools language if desired
Click OK
Click Close
