We'd like to make a few changes to improve the weekly CDR images automated report.
1. Please add blocked media documents that have a previous publishable version to the report. (Since it is not feasible to identify docs that were blocked in the previous week only, we are going to approximate this instead by listing list docs that have been versioned in the past week and have a blocked status.)
2. Please separate the list of media docs on the report into three tables with the following headings:
New Images
Revised Images
Blocked (Removed) Images
3. Please add a column displaying the version comment for the last publishable version. This should go between the Last Version Publishable and Blocked from VOL columns.
4. Please add a link to the QC report for the media doc. The CDR ID currently links to the image, but I think it would make more sense to link the CDR ID to the CDR QC report and link the image title to the image.
[CGI python script (CDR CGI library), SQL (CDR DB Module, Query class)]
We should also discuss whether to take out the VOL Media docs report from the Jobmaster job and run it separately as a scheduled job on Saturdays for the last Saturday to Friday time frame.
Let's assume we're publishing a new image on Friday. On Thursday this image is being updated, so we're looking at two entries of the same document during a single week. I am guessing we want this image listed on the New Images report instead of the Revised Images report. Two other options could be to display the image only on the Revised Images report or on both reports.
Along the same line, assume an image is being hot-fixed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Would we want four rows to be displayed on the report or just the latest update? I'm assuming the latest update only.
I have another interesting question: What is considered a
new image? Is that an image that has been published to
Cancer.gov or is this an image that has been created in the CDR. For
instance, we may have an image that has been made publishable but is not
linked to a document (Summary). Therefore it wouldn't be published to
Cancer.gov. Is this an image to be included on the report or not?
Please refer to CDR777633. This image is publishable but hasn't been
published and therefore does not yet have a first_pub date.
Per discussion with Robin, we are dropping the column Last Version Publishable. Since we're picking up all new publishable versions with this report, it is unlikely for new, later versions to exist that are not publishable. The value in this column is (almost) always set to 'Y'.
This report has been updated and is ready for testing on DEV:
R13784: Notify_VOL.py
The report has been modified to show the QC report for the listed version (instead of the CWD):
R13786: Notify_VOL.py
Verified on DEV.
There was one small change made last Thursday on DEV that didn't make it onto QA (adding "(removed)" to the statement beneath the Blocked (Removed) Documents heading. Otherwise this has been verified on QA. We'll want to take another look in IT-2 just to make sure that last change landed safely.
Verified on QA.
Verified on PROD.
