Description

When multiple documents with long titles are open, the part of the title displayed in the open tab title is quite long. The effect of this is that you don't have to open too many documents for some of the documents to be hidden from view. It could take just about 3 documents to fill the whole length of the window. If you have many more documents open then you would have to do a lot of scrolling to get to previously open documents.

Displaying just the CDR ID or hiding part of the title until the window is activated could be helpful. This would just be nice to have :-) so I am marking it with a "Trial" status.

Enhancement implemented on DEV. I need to keep some distinction between different instance of the same document, so I can't do just the CDR ID in all cases. So for numbered versions of a document, you'll have -Vnnnn (where nnnn is the version number), and for documents which are opened without being locked, " [RO]" is added (shortened from " [READ ONLY]" which is what we used to have).

This seems to be working fine for me on DEV.

It is working correctly. I assumed that it did display part of the title and not just the CDR ID. I guess I got confused about it. In the original post I said displaying just the CDR ID or part of the title should be fine but now I wish I had asked to display both the CDR ID and part of the title of the document (May be first 10 characters, for example). It seems we will benefit more from that (both CDR ID and part of the title) rather than just the CDR ID. Adding the [RO] for documents retrieved as read only is also helpful :-).

I have modified the title for this ticket to reflect where the evolving requirements ended up (the original title said we were only supposed to display the CDR ID in the document tabs).

Could we please extend the number of characters to 15? Sharon made a good point that ten characters will display "Childhood " for all of her summaries, which isn't very helpful.

Sorry, just saw another one that should have been reopened when I entered my last comment.
