We recently added a new value to the Contact Responses element of the InScopeProtocol schema [OCECDR-529] that we are using to identify all abandoned trials. Since the abandoned trials will not be updated and will remain in their current state permanently, there is no need to keep them in sync with other protocols when it comes to re-indexing, global changes and other special projects. In view of this, we want to be able to exclude these trials from major reports and tools that would normally retrieve these trials. This will reduce the noise on some of the protocol reports and will also let us avoid spending time on these trials. I will be identifying and adding to this issue specific reports and tools that need to be modified.

The bug number above is incorrect. It should have been [OCECDR-5291]. Sorry about that.
We decided that the only report we want the abandoned trials to be excluded from is the "Protocols Linked to Terms" report.

Would you happen to have an example of a term that lists abandoned trials in the output?

The reports for these two documents are empty. Am I missing something?
Oh, I see, you gave me protocol IDs. I was expecting Term IDs since those IDs will be entered in order to produce the 'Protocols linked to Terms' report.
William, would it be possible to give me a term ID or term name that includes abandoned trials in the output?

I have updated the report to filter out the abandoned trials. The report has been copied to QA which has just been refreshed with data from PROD. As soon as we're able to connect to QA again this can be tested:

William, would you be able to test this now? (Welcome back from vacation!)
The report appears to be working well on QA. But strangely, I am not able to add new 'Abandoned' value on both QA and Dev. In Dev, it looks like there is no data with the Abandoned value and I am unable to add the value to documents. On QA existing data with the Abandoned value are there but I am not able to add the Abandoned value to other documents because it is not in the dropped down menu. I am not sure why this is so but the report works well for existing trials that have already been populated with the Abandoned value.
The reason why you don't see any abandoned trials on DEV is that the data is so old. The data on QA is just a week old or so but the schemas haven't been updated, I suppose.
If this has been checked on PROD we should be able to close this issue now.
