I have written a SQL query to identify the Glossary terms that are listed in one language but not in the other (see attached document).
It appears that for those terms that are missing the Dictionary in the Concept document has not been specified. As an example please see CDR655176 (ASC-US).
The concept for this term is CDR655174. The English definition is listed with the Dictionary=Cancer.gov while the Spanish definition is not.

On Cancer.gov, if you're looking for 'ASC-US' you'll be able to find the English definition and switch over to the Spanish definition. However, when starting out from the Spanish side you won't be able to find the Spanish term ASC-US presumably because of the missing Dictionary entry.

My guess is that all of the Spanish terms will show up once the Dictionary element has been entered in the CDR for the concepts.

I have asked Linda to look into this. Since this affects 130 terms, can we do a global to fix them?

Since this is a question for Alan I'm going to CC him to this issue.

Please note that I've titled the report 'Term without Spanish Translation Display' but it would be more correct to say 'Term without the other language'. I've looked for terms for which only one language is being displayed. Mostly the Spanish term will be the missing one but that may not always be the case.

As for the global I'm sure you're aware that there do exist terms that are published but are not marked for display on Cancer.gov. Besides the 187 genetics terms there are still a few others that don't fit into either category (maybe those are data errors, too?).

This is a little off-topic but I wanted to have it listed somewhere:

While I was looking into these glossary terms I've noticed (on Cancer.gov) that there are 3 terms that are not listed on the A-Z list.
If you list all of the terms (enter % in the search field) one can see three terms at the very end of the list starting with a Greek letter: µL, µM, and ß-hCG.
These terms are not, however, displayed in any of the sub-lists available via the A-Z list because they are neither starting with a letter, nor with a number.

I've reported this to the Cancer.gov team (Blair, Chuck, Bryan) since I figure they would want to know since it's something that will eventually have to be fixed on the new Cancer.gov and we agreed that this issue would be tracked an addressed at a later date.

I've added the two queries I've created to the ad-hoc query interface.

a) Glossary Terms displayed on Cancer.gov

This query displays all terms that are displayed on Cancer.gov. The user is able to create an Excel spreadsheet for this output and
i) filter on the Dictionary value to identify all Genetics terms
ii) filter on the Dictionary and audience value to identify all English or
Spanish terms

b) Glossary Terms displayed on Cancer.gov w/ one missing term

This query displays all terms that are on Cancer.gov and have either the English or the Spanish dictionary term missing. For these the most likely error is a missing Dictionary element.

(It appears that CIAT has already corrected all but one of the missing terms I reported yesterday.)
