Crystal was testing the Article Search page and had unexpected results when she did one of her searches:
(From Crystal) I used an article search in board member 2 and selected pediatric treatment, Ch ALL, listed the name of the first author (Nakayama H) and find articles with any of the selected topics. I got five results that included the same name but only the last option in the list was for Childhood ALL. I also got the same results when I selected find articles with all of the selected topics. It seems the search doesn’t recognize the topic listed.
(from Victoria) I tried this search as Test Board Manager and just got the 1 (correct) article. I got the same 5 as Member 2, just like Crystal did. If anything, I’d expect to get more results on the Manager page because the Manager role searches the whole EBMS database and the Member search is just limited to articles that have PDFs uploaded (I think). I also tried the search on the live site and got the 1 correct article as myself, but when I went to the QA site as a member, I got 0 hits even though these are older refs.
I'm not sure if this is a problem or what needs to be fixed, but I wanted to document it and perhaps we can discuss tomorrow.
Fixed on https://ebms.rksystems.com.
Verified on EBMS4.
Author/topic combo is fixed. I tested on librarian, manager, and member logins.
In PROD and EBMS4, there are 6 citations retrieved when Nakayama H is searched in the first position along with pediatric board. 1 was rejected by librarian initial review and therefore not published. 1 was rejected during abstract review so no full text. Leaving 4 citations with a full text retrieved status only one of which is assigned the ChALL topic. When ChALL is added to the search only 1 citation is retrieved. These results are correctly reflected in EBMS4.
Also tested that board members are only able to retrieve citations with a full text retrieved status regardless of whether the citation was approved or rejected in the full text review.
Verified on ebms4.
Verified on PROD. (Still unclear if this was really a problem, but it seems to be working correctly for me.)
