Description

Follow up to ticket 664

From the Full Text Retrieval Queue, when a user clicks on article title link to see Full Article History page, a Return to Queue button is needed to navigate the user back to their place in the Full Text Retrieval Queue.

Similar navigation is available for the Librarian and BM queues and would be helpful for the Admin Assist to have with their Full Text Retrieval Queue as well.

Done.

However, if you want to return to that page, you might want to consider another approach, which would open the full article history page in a separate tab, so that instead of clicking a button to return to the queue page, you could either close the full article history page or just switch to the tab for the queue. That way, you will not have lost any files which had been picked for uploading. Just a thought.

I like that idea and it may work better for Bonnie when she is selecting files for upload because she said she works in batches of ten at a time. And when one of those files is for a preliminary manuscript, she needs to go to the full article history page to add the preliminary pdf tag before she returns to upload the file.

You replied "Done" but I am not seeing a "Return to Queue" button - which is good because as you mentioned this is not the best choice of navigation if we want to preserve files selected for upload. In the description I mention a button specifically, but the title of the ticket is more general to create navigation to return to the queue so I am wondering if we can proceed with your idea of opening a new tab in this ticket or if I need to create a new one?

I see that when the queue doesn't have an ID yet (because the page is drawn using default settings when it is first selected from the menu) that button doesn't appear. It does after you've clicked the Filter button and then navigate to the full article history page for a specific article. I could fix that, but as you have decided to have me implement the alternative approach, I'll back out what I have implemented and make the full article history page come up in a separate tab instead. Since there was a bug in what I implemented for the original request, I'll consider implementing the alternate approach as fixing that bug, rather than have you submit a new ticket.

Looks good to me but, will have Bonnie test again.

New window pops up and upon close selected files remain on original window.
