We would like to generate a report of newly added journals (i.e., journals for which an article was imported for a selected Board for the first time) for a given time period. We would use this report to identify journals to add to our NOT list in a periodic fashion.
It may make more sense to run this as an ad-hoc report periodically, as we do with the other journal report used for NOT list maintenance. Let's discuss.
LOE will be estimated when requirements have been nailed down.
We've decided to go with the approach of requesting ad-hoc reports as needed for now, and Robin and Victoria will meet tomorrow to discuss the particulars of what should be in the report.
Those discussions are still ongoing.
Here are some possible requirements we can discuss:
Report for each board.
Journal must not already be on a board's NOT journal list.
Journal must have at least one citation in EBMS.
All citations for journal must have been imported after a specified date.
Journal must have 0 citations in EBMS prior to specified date.
Another approach that might work would be to run the same journal report as we have run in the past and compare it to the last one run, then pulling out the journals that appear on the new report that were not on the report the last time it was run. This would only work if we have a copy of the last journal report that was run.
Adding related ticket describing the ad-hoc journal report ran previously.
So, just confirming the plan: I am to run the OCEEBMS-301 report code (adjusted to use the new table structures), attach it to this ticket, and you will compare it with the report most recently attached to that ticket, right?
Also, what start/end dates would you like to use for this run?

Just a reminder that there are still open questions for this ticket.
Yes, we will compare this to the last report.
Please run the report for the time frame of Aug 6, 2021 to June 30, 2023.
Thanks!
Workbooks attached.
Thank you! We're looking forward to digging into these and whittling down our journal lists!
