Description

We'd like to add some text to help explain why each of the reports are used.

We could perhaps put this on the main reports menu page (https://ebms.nci.nih.gov/reports).

The text could be taken from our user manual.

Does the "perhaps" in the description mean you're considering other possible implementations?

We considered adding the text to the individual report pages, but I think we've settled on adding it to the main report page.

Implemented on EBMS DEV.

: were you still planning to provide replacement text for some of the report descriptions? I think this is the last item gating rolling Biscayne up to QA, right?

Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I thought I was done! But you're right - I'll provide some text changes shortly.

Here are the requested changes to the text (all other text looks good to me). Thank you!

HOTEL REQUESTS

Used to see which Board members have submitted a request for a hotel. The report is automatically generated and displayed when the page is opened.

REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS

Used to see which Board members have submitted a request for reimbursement of meeting expenses. The report is automatically generated and displayed when the page is opened.

BOARD MEMBER LOGIN REPORT

Used to determine when Board members last logged into the EBMS. Clicking on the report name from the report menu will generate an Excel report with this information.

RECENT ACTIVITY REPORT

Used to summarize recent Board-related activity in the EBMS. It may be useful if you are concerned you missed something or if a Board member has had a period of inactivity and wants to catch up (the Board manager would need to copy and paste the report results to send to the Board member).

IMPORT REPORT

Used to display the details of a specific import batch (a set of one or more articles imported to the EBMS for a single topic at a single time). This report is primarily used by the Medical Librarians.

CITATION REPORTS

Collection of reports used to generate citation statistics, gather more information about a particular reviewing cycle or import session, and identify and troubleshoot problems. There are five Citation Reports, each of which can be selected from the REPORTS menu on the CITATION REPORTS page. These reports are primarily used by the Medical Librarians.

ARTICLES WITHOUT RESPONSES

Used to identify which articles were assigned for review but haven't received any further attention. The results of this report are often used to help plan meeting agendas and prevent important papers from "falling through the cracks." A Board member version of this report is also available as the results are often shared with Board members. This report may be worth sharing with the Editors in Chief periodically.

Text edited. Please review carefully.

The text looks good, although could you please capitalize the "B" in "Board" in the following descriptions? That's our typical style. Thanks!

  • BOARD AND TOPIC LISTS
Shows which board members are assigned to which topics. A print-friendly version of this report is available.

  • STATISTICS
Excel workbook with one sheet for each board, providing counts for the number of articles reaching each processing state for the reporting period (which by default is the previous twelve months).
