Performance is slow and I can't get the Search Database page to open.
I've opened a ticket with CBIIT (NCI-INC0173543), and I made you and Amy watchers.

The two problems were independent of each other. The search problem was caused by a malformed publication date in one of the records imported from NLM. A workaround was installed, tested, and checked into trunk. The performance problems were very likely caused by security scans running on the server, which by coincidence coincided in timing with the search page failure. The scans have stopped, and the performance appears to be back to normal.
This has been fixed.
