The default file name in log-tail.py is currently PubJob.log but the log file cdrpub.log would be more useful to monitor a publishing job.
👍
Not sure I would have called this a "severity 3 bug" though. In fact, didn't you ask me to point to the current default yourself at one time?
When I enter a bug I almost never change the default values. It's a ticket with 1 story point. It's true, this shouldn't be marked as a "Bug" but I think Jira remembers the previously used ticket type. This one should be a feature. 🙂

That is correct and when I gave you that information the file PubJob.log was indeed the one I looked at most frequently. However, things have changed and I'm looking for the information in cdrpub.log much more frequently now. That's why I'd like to make the change.
Modified the following file:
Right. I wasn't arguing that I don't like the change (like you, I turn to cdrpub.log more frequently than PubJob.log). Rather I was trying to bolster my argument that this shouldn't be a bug. 😛
Oddly, I've seen people talk about changing the the ticket type in JIRA, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
~bkline, maybe you can only change the ticket you created yourself???
I've been able to "move" my ticket and that allows you to assign a new ticket type - et voila!
Since this is an internal ticket I'm confirming that the default logfile for log-tail.py changed on QA.
