As a patient summary editor, I want the ability to create a new SVPC summary using an XMetal template with all the default elements, attributes and values selected to make creating new SVPC summaries efficient and time saving.
The current PDQ patient liver cancer treatment summaries would be split into multiple SVPC summaries that would be published as their own separate pages on Cancer.gov with their own URLs.
We are currently working on modifying the summary schema to create new summaries for the SVPC initiative [OCECDR-5042]. We are also modifying the summary schema to make top-level section titles optional for SVPC summaries [OCECDR-5044].
Please create a new template in XMetal for the modified summary schema to be used for the SVPC summaries. The template should be named “Patient SVPC”. I will be providing the default values to be selected when the template is used.
Scenario: XMetal has the ability to create new Patient Summary SVPC template
Given I am a patient summary editor
And I have permissions to create summaries
And I have permissions to edit summaries
When I click on the New CDR Document icon in XMetal
Then I should be able to select the “Patient SVPC” template

We will need a list of which meta-data elements are to be included for this template.
I've created a new PatientSVPCSummary.xml template file but I still need a list of elements that should be included/excluded from this template. For now I removed the PDQ Board block and designated the first SummarySection for Introductory Text.
This is ready for review on DEV.
I have started marking up this document CDR0000805721 on DEV to be use as a sample for the template. It is not ready yet. I will let you know when it is ready.
I have updated the template with the discussions we had yesterday. The only one I am still not sure about is the purpose text but I think we didn't want to include them, if I remember correctly.
You don't want an additional (empty) section or Para element included in the template?
I've made the changes based on your sample document but replaced the text "... adult primary liver cancer ..." with "... X cancer ...".
Please take a look on DEV and let me know if you'd like additional modifications.
Having empty para tags should be fine. However, I have removed all the text so that the para will completely empty. I have also added a second summary section.
I've made the changes based on your sample document. However, I did exclude the KeyPoint element since we're not going to use KeyPoints in SVPC summaries in favor of the Title element.
Looks good. Could you please clone this template for the Spanish summaries by just changing the language?
What template name would you expect the see for the Spanish version? SpanishPatientSVPCSummary?
I have updated the sample template again by removing the Purpose Text as I have just seen my note about the decision not to require it for the SVPC summaries. Please make that change.
What template name would you expect the see for the Spanish version? SpanishPatientSVPCSummary?
Yes. Thank you!
I've modified or created the following templates as requested:
PatientSVPCSummary.xml
SpanishPatientSVPCSummary.xml

Verified on DEV. Thanks!
Can I just mention that the "Edit comment" feature in Jira is horrible? It rarely seems to work properly. (your-favorite-ARGHH!!!-emoji-here)
In my experience, it's not so much the "edit comment" feature but the editing of links in general which causes the real problems. There's a bug which causes the software to get confused and misplace or duplicate the delimiters for identifying the URL and display text.
Verified on QA and PROD. Thanks!
