We received notifications indicating that the PROD server is low on disk space. There are several sets of archived log files created with processes which had been replaced several years ago.
We want to move those log files to make some room on our production server.
The disk size on PROD is about 1TB of which only 100GB were remaining when we started to received "disk space low" notifications. About 90% of this disk space was used up by the
D:\cdr\output
directory and the majority of the space used was located in the directory
D:\cdr\output\JobArchive
This directory holds the compressed archive files which our filesweeper Hoover creates. We decided to move two sets of files totaling 369GB off to the network drive since these files aren't used anymore (or still created) on the PROD server. The following files have been copied to the network and the PROD server has now 480GB of free disk space which should last us for a while:
FtpServerJobs.*.tar.bz2 (between 2012-03-03 and 2017-09-01)
FtpSpecialJobs.*.tar.bz2 (between 2009-03-26 and 2017-09-05)
The location of these files is:
