This is a placeholder ticket to link to the WCMS ticket. The bug is on the WCMS side.
It appears our glossary term process contains a bug depending on the combination of Media and EmbeddedVideo elements as follows:
MediaLink (Image) included
--> Image is displayed
MediaLink (Image) and EmbeddedVideo included
--> Both Image and Video are displayed
EmbeddedVideo included (no MediaLink)
--> Video is not displayed
All animations are added to the GTC in the same way so there is no workaround as we had hoped for. The immunotherapy term we saw during the CDR meeting was updated with the animation media doc back in January 2018 so, it looks like the problem occurred between then and now. It looks like the animation video is displaying under the More Information section only because there is already a link under the More Information section.
Do you remember which glossary term we were looking at that included the video in the More Information section?
Additional information from William giving the CDR-IDs for which the video publishing failed:
Glossary terms
cellular adoptive immunotherapy (GTN: 285915; GTC: 622502)
nonspecific immunomodulating agent (GTN: 693550; GTC: 693549)
immune checkpoint inhibitor (GTN: 772606; GTC: 772605) – Okay; displaying on Cancer.gov
Animation media docs
T-Cell Transfer Therapy (795517)
Nonspecific Immune Stimulation (795516)
Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors (795515)
That's not necessarily correct. I was just able (on DEV) to add the video by adding a More Information entry to the concept document. I added a RelatedExternalRef to CDR772605
That could be another work-around, maybe?
What is the external link be fro the two animations that did not get published?
I found one of the links here.
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/types/immunotherapy/t-cell-transfer-video
and the other ones
https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/types/immunotherapy/checkpoint-inhibitor-video
The workaround was successful. The video is displayed and a link to the video is displayed as well, but I think it is better than not having the video display at all.
We've decided this workaround is acceptable for the medium term; plan to fix this in the next CDE update (and not in an immediate hot fix).
~volker Would you mind updating this ticket with the additional information you found that prevents the videos from publishing? You had mentioned in the CDR meetings that the problem is more than just whether there is an image or not.
~volker Here is the glossary term that published with the video content last week and without using the workaround.
nonspecific immune stimulation (GTN 795668; GTC 795667)

Yes, the question is whether there is another element or not. Isn't that what you're doing for the workaround - adding another link?
Well, the issue remains puzzling as we removed the related external ref element we added as a workaround for GTN 693550; GTC 693549 and the animation is displaying correctly on cancer.gov.

Not sure what has been done, if anything, since this was reported but things appear to be working correctly now, without using the workaround. Yes, puzzling but in a happy way. 😃
As I mentioned in the CDR meeting last Thursday, the animations display in the glossary terms on Cancer.gov even without the workaround. We removed all the related external refs and they are all displaying. As agreed on Thursday, I am closing this ticket because there is nothing fix.
