When a Media Link is shared between the English and Spanish Languages blocks in the GTC, the image does not show up in the Glossary term on Cancer.gov. We want to be able to have a common image placed outside of the two Language blocks in the GTC to be able to publish to the individual glossary terms instead of placing the same image in both blocks.
We have discussed this before in relationship with Genetics images but I don't think we made a decision regarding sharing the image between the two blocks.
I will provide some examples shortly.
I will provide some examples shortly.
ON DEV:
CDR0000619740 - This is the CDR ID of the GTC containing the Media
Link
CDR0000415502- Image ID
CDR0000045050 - Spanish GTN
CDR0000357584 - English GTNN
PP for the GTNs does not display the image although the image displays in the summaries. It also displays well on Cancer.gov in the summaries but not in the dictionaries. This has been fixed on PROD by linking the image twice in the GTC.
I made a guess about the LOE, ~volker. Please adjust as appropriate.
CDR0000045050 - Spanish GTN
CDR0000357584 - English GTNN
These are two names for the same definition, right, instead of English/Spanish version? Both, the English and Spanish translation is stored in the same document.
Actually they do not share the same definition. But rather are two different GTNs. Essentially, they are two different examples.
It appears that there exist a few images in the system which used to
be *.GIF files but have been redone into *.JPG files. This sample image
- FOBT - is one of those. Another sample is the Spanish version of
Pedigree. When the files have been saved as *.JPG files their Image
Encoding did not get changed preventing them to be displayed at
all.
I've modified the Image Encoding and do see the "formerly" GIF files
being displayed in PublishPreview.
Please have a look on DEV and see if this solved the original problem.
Sure. I will check it out. I must say though that we thought that the problem on PROD was the because of the file not being jpg so we converted it jpg and didn't see any difference. I will check on DEV and let you know. Maybe we didn't convert it well.
Based on the test document this appears to be a data issue, so I'm marking the ticket as fixed for now.
It is indeed a data problem. It's been fixed on PROD now. Thanks!
