We would like the Summaries Citations report to include all references cited in the summary, including references in included summary modules, by default. However, we would like to add an option to exclude module references to the report interface.
The current script allows the user to select which version of the summary should be used for the report. I assume we don't want to add the complication (and increased LOE) of introducing a separate screen for selecting the version of each module included by the summary. OK to just use the CWD for the included modules? Also, nested modules are a no-no, right?
Well, my instincts about speeding up the report by avoiding the full summary denormalization suite were misguided. Doing it the old way, the report takes roughly 5 1/2 minutes for the Genetics of Breast and Gynecologic Cancers summary. Avoiding the step for denormalization of the summary and instead denormalizing the individual citations takes almost 9 minutes for that same summary. Oh, well – it was worth a try. :-)
Report rewritten and ready for user testing on DEV.
The page for selecting the summary version is a list of all versions with radio buttons as opposed to a drop-down list as it was and as we have on many other reports. Was this an intended change?
As discussed in our meeting, please replace the list of versions with a drop-down list, as we're accustomed to seeing on other reports.
Please also restore the clean formatting on the report output that we have on PROD (no footer, no buttons) since we often print this report and/or share it with Board members.
Thanks!
Requested tweaks implemented on DEV. Please review.
