Description

The ICRDB Statistics Report is created as a scheduled report on the 1st of every month for the previous month.
Occasionally this report needs to be submitted for a different time period and currently this has to be done by CBIIT in order to provide the start and end dates on the command line.

We want to create a web interface to allow running this report ourselves when necessary.
Also, the title of the report 'ICRDB' should change to 'PCIB'.

Where would you like this new menu item to be placed? I'm thinking under Management Reports or All general Reports.

The following scripts have been updated:

  • R13065: BoardManagers.py

  • R13065: RunICRDBStatReport.py

  • R13063: ICRDBStatsReport.py

This is ready for review on DEV. The new menu item has been created as part of the Management Rerports.

I am fine with William being a recipient of this report, but I would prefer to not have it available for everyone to be able to run it since I will get an email every time someone else runs it. Is that how it is set up now?

Yes, it's setup to deliver an email to the distribution list ICRDB Statistics Notification. Maybe William can let us know what his intended usage is. He may be fine receiving the monthly report.

We track many of out statistics manually which is prone to errors so I was thinking of using this to double-check some of them to make sure the numbers agree. However, I don't want this to be a stumbling block. I will be happy to receive a copy each time Margaret runs it. That is, I will not run it myself.

Sure, I understand. I don't have any problem even with you running it periodically, but I realized after I mentioned it at our staff meeting yesterday that really anyone can run it, but only Volker and I (and William) would receive it. I just wouldn't want a bunch of CIAT staff or PCIB staff running it, if you see what I mean.
