In OCECDR-3595 the New CTGovProtocol review page is being modified to identify new CTRP trials from CTGov. Using that information, please modify the CTGovProtocols Processing Status Report to also flag new CTRP trials. Here is an excerpt from OCECDR-3595 describing the request:

"I am wondering
if it is possible to use the same information you identified for the review new
page to modify the "CTGovProtocols Processing Status Report" so that the CTRP
trials are flagged differently on the spreadsheet. That is, for any new CTRP
Trial that we import, if it is one that you've found a match for, display it on
the spreadsheet with a different color. If it is one you could not find a
match, display it in a different color from the one you found a match for.

If it is not possible to display them with more than one color, it is okay to
use just one color for all of them. This new modification will save us the time
of manually tracking the trials after they have been imported. It looks like
this will be a new issue so if it is possible to make the changes then please
let me know and I will create an issue for that."

I've looked at this report, and it appears that colors are already being used to convey information about the different rows. Do you really want to lose that information, replacing it with new colors to distinguish the two flavors of CTRP trials from each other and from non-CTRP trials?

I suspect you are referring to my statement that "If it is not possible to display them with more than one color, it is okay to use just one color for all of them.". My intention was not to display all imported trials with the same color. The existing color scheme should stay and additional colors added for the CTRP trials. I was only referring to the imported CTRP trials.

Here are two sets of steps to clarify the request:

Step 1 (Trials with ID match):
i. You identify a trial that follows the CTRP ID pattern and display it on the review new protocols page.
ii. You also find a match for this trial in the CTRP download.
iii. We mark this trial for import into the CDR.
iv. On the processing report, display this trial in a color that is not already in use (example Yellow).

Step 2 (Trials without ID match):
i. You identify a trial that follows the CTRP ID pattern and display it on the review new protocols page.
ii. You do not find a match in the CTRP download for this trial.
iii. We wait for a week or two and there is still no match found for this trial so we mark the trial to be imported into the CDR.
iv. On the review new protocols report, display this trial in a different color which is not yellow (and not any of the existing colors in use) (For example burgundy)

On the other hand, if making the distinction above will be too complicated or if it will require a lot of programming hours, just display trials in both categories/steps above with the same font color (different from the existing colors that are used already to differentiate trials). In other words, existing colors stay but add new colors for the trials in question here.

In a way, this is similar to the implementation in OCECDR-3595 where you make a distinction between CTRP trials that have an Id match and those (CTRP trials) that are yet to have an ID match, except that in this case, the trials have been imported, and we want a way to continue to track and prioritize their processing. As a last resort, if the colors won't work very well, will adding these trials to a different worksheet of the same MS Excel report work?

No, that's not what I'm saying. The existing report displays trials which have been transferred in red, and trials which have not been transferred in black. If I were to do what you've described in the previous comment, some of the trials which would have been displayed in black or red would now be displayed in yellow or burgundy. So you would lose the ability to tell by color whether those trials were transferred or not.

OK. Got it. We are no longer transferring trials and while it is possible to transfer one or two in the future, it shouldn't pose any problem if that transferred trial loses its existing color. Once the backlog of transferred trials has been processed we may just transfer one or two trials or may not transfer trials at all. If you have to make a choice between displaying a trial as a transferred trial versus a new CTRP trial, display it as a new CTRP trial.

Give it a try on DEV. Thinking I would have to implement something while you were on vacation, without all the questions answered, I had added a new column for "CTRP ID" to show the new information without more colors in order to avoid losing information (adding an "X" in parentheses for the CTRP ID values found in the ctrp_import table). After receiving your last comment I went ahead and plugged in the color changes, but left the new column in place. Yellow seemed like a color which would be difficult to see, so I used blue instead, but kept your burgundy.

It looks good on Dev. Thank you.
